Question 1

Why do sunblock makers still feel a need to make their products reek of coconut?

I slathered on sunblock since I’m going out in a bit, and as I wait for a call from the people I’m supposed to meet, I’m sitting in my apartment and slowly making the whole place smell like a piña colada.

There’s no reason for this. There’s not one natural ingredient in the sunblock I use, including this coconut stink. And my higher-numbered sunblocks (this one’s only SPF 8) don’t smell like anything.

It’s mostly the ones that are lower in number that seem to have this problem. Stronger sunblock seems to be okay with the fact that it’s not made out of natural ingredients. Why can’t they all realize this?

Alas. I guess for now, I’ll just have to live with it for a bit. Or go get a piña colada.

The sunblock makers get perverse joy out of watching their customers attacked by swarms of bees.
