Good god, whatever you do, don’t change your cell number. I had to do it because people out here are stupid about hiring people with out-of-area area codes, and it was the biggest fucking nightmare.

Amen. I changed my cell phone from suburban Chicago to DC area code in 2003. Just in time to move back to Chicago.
