This is definitely my favorite cops and robbers story of the new year:
While Garfield County [Oklahoma] Sheriff’s Deputy Matt Mixon searched his vehicle, suspect Billy Gurney, 34, slipped behind the wheel of the patrol car and out of his handcuffs.
“I had to make a lot of decisions, and I had to make them … then, there, and quick, with no way to ask for permission,” Mixon said.
Mixon hopped into the suspect’s stolen vehicle and gave chase.
Fucking awesome.
