Three years ago today, with one simple, stupid post, I began a wonderful bout of time-wasting by starting this site.
With friends’ blogs shutting down or being abandoned left and right and up and down, I find it a bit odd that my enthusiasm for this method of communication remains apparently unflagging.
I think I’ve come to appreciate the performance aspect of this, especially since I never have time to practice or perform my music anymore, and I do miss that.
Comments get you instant feedback of a kind that you normally don’t get unless performing for a live audience. And while this isn’t quite live, it’s enough to keep the performer in me from going completely insane.
And that, to me, is more than enough reason to keep this silly thing going for quite a while longer.
Of course, in the unlikely event that I get a life and/or a girlfriend, I reserve the right to waive all of the above promises.
And finally, for shits and giggles, from the Archives:
First Blogaversary
Second Blogaversary (a bit late)
I just don’t want to turn in to one of those recap your day type of blogs that I make fun of all the time. And as nothing interesting happens to me, I may as well just put it on hiatus…at least until something interesting does happen.
It is interesting to see that a few of us came to this decision near the same time, though.
*pours a little out for the homies who ain’t here*
Fear not. As long as I’m a loser with no life, the Warm Cocoon will continue to be a theater of the absurd, insipid and irrelevant. And I promise it won’t be boring at least one out of every 17 posts.
Blog on, rockstar. Blog on.
A very happy blogaversary to you. I too will carry on with you.
glad to see someone is soldiering on! i’ll join you back in the blogosphere soon enough, i’m sure. for now: zzzz…
