When we were coming back from San Diego last weekend, I was listening to pieces of the soundtrack to Avenue Q with Nate. I liked it, so I downloaded it from the iTunes music store.
I now must recommend it to everyone, although I definitely don’t recommend listening to it on your way to work. I ended up with the song “The Internet is For Porn” stuck in my head all day.
That’s not something you really wanna be singing at work (particularly on sexual harassment lecture day).
But it’s a wonderful, wonderful soundtrack. Now I’ve got to go see this show. It’s funny enough listening to all of this, it’s got to be funnier to watch puppets perform it.
You were at CRC the year Stephanie D’Abruzzo came to talk to us and donated stuff and brought muppets, right? That’s still so kick ass to me.
The name rings a bell, but I don’t remember puppets…and that’s something I’d defintiely remember.
It was my freshman year, Ellen, so you wouldn’t have been there yet…
As for the show, yep – it’s absolutely awesome! I saw it in NY in May, and waited around afterward to say hi to Stephanie (who was nominated for a Best Actress Tony award)… she signed my program “Go CRC!”
It’s too bad the show isn’t going to tour… although it will take up residence in Las Vegas in the near future…
You know what that means…road trip!
