According to the fine folks at Lifehacker, Amazon.com and Coinstar have struck an agreement to let you cash out an Amazon.com gift certificate from Coinstar machines without them taking a big chunk off the top as they normally do.
Here’s the Lifehacker post, but it looks from the Coinstar page like you can also get the fee waived by converting stuff to Hollywood Video, Starbucks, or Pier 1 giftcards as well as Amazon.
Seeing as how most of y’all shop at Amazon (and I’m guessing at least a couple of you have ginormous piles of change like I do), figured you’d like to know about this.
