Great Moments In Television Journalism 2

I was just watching Headline News and saw Kendis Gibson, their entertainment reporter, make the following atrocious statement:

“Well, there are women around the country who are wishing they had a baby with Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, because one of his mothers…er, one of the mothers of his sons…er…one of his babymamas is about to get paid.”

And then he launched into a story about the mother of his oldest son getting awarded $35,000 a month in child support (really, even for that kind of money, I don’t think most women would deal with Puffy being their child’s father).

Aside from the laughable sexism of the statement, the fact that he was assured enough that viewers of Headline News would understand the term “babymama” being used in a non-Jerry Springer context is hilarious to me.

Way to keep it real, Kendis.
