When I saw this trailer for Annapolis before I saw Jarhead over Thanksgiving weekend, I couldn’t believe how much it looked like a Navy recruitment commercial.
The only parallel that came to mind was the Simpsons episode where Bart joins a boy band that’s actually a front for subliminal advertisment for the Navy.
Except the trailer is more like that episode’s definition of “Superliminal” advertising: “Hey you, join the Navy!”
