I used to have a longer version of my bio, but I’ll stick with the short version: I was born and raised in Washington, D.C. I lived there for 18 years, and it drove me nuts. I wrote, recorded, and released an album in mid-1999. I moved to Chicago in the fall of 1999 to go to Northwestern University for film school. I graduated with the Class of 2003, moved out to L.A., and worked in TV production until mid-2010.
At that point, I rage-quit the entertainment business and went back to school via UCLA Extension to learn how to write code. Now I’m back in Chicago, working as an iOS and Android developer at the Nerdery and on my own via Designated Nerd Software.
So basically my progression in life has been: Music Nerd -> TV Nerd -> Actual Nerd. It seems to have worked out well.
