Mom’s been in town, so blogging has been curtailed. A brief summary of the past few days:
– I banged my arm on a car door Wednesday. Really, really hard, right where the tendons and nerves come together at the funny bone. Couldn’t feel my fingers for a couple minutes, and it’s still kind of sore.
Luckily, it didn’t swell that much, I just ended up having to wear an ace bandage for a few days. It’s still not quite 100%, but it’s way, way better. There’s also a lovely purple bruise for the enjoyment of all.
– Mom’s visit went better than expected. We had a minor fight about 20 minutes after she got here, but she seemed to have fun, and that precluded any further unpleasantness.
The fact that she only stayed for a long weekend helped immensely. I forget who she quoted when she said, “Company, like fish, stinks after three days.” Whoever said it was dead right.
– I got my car washed today for the first time in several months. It’s not good when you get your car washed and it’s a noticeably different color.
And really, that’s about it. I’m sure you’d all just love to be regaled with tales of what my mom and I discussed, but I’ll spare you. All in all, not a bad weekend.
